Read 30 Books in 30 Days to Stop Thinking About Being Forced to Work Remotely

I know it’s tough. I get it. I’m an introvert. But this forced isolation is affecting me as well. Yes, I’m accustomed to working from home, yet being told that I have to stay home rubs me the wrong way. I understand what’s going on and I stay home. I have no control over this, so I focus on what I can control in my life. You have control over your professional development. So, why not join me in the reading challenge to read 30 books in 30 days.

At some point this isolation will stop — some predict it won’t be until Fall 2021. Wouldn’t you like to have some additional skills to be more marketable and valuable?

I know that there will be many naysayers, but this article is not for you. However, for those who might be interested, let’s talk about what it means to read a book. I’d like you to honestly answer the following three questions.

  1. What does it mean to you to read a book? Does it mean that you have to read every word in the book?
  2. If you focused on the key concepts in the book, leaving out all the idle chatter, and you’re able to clearly articulate what the book is about, can you say that you have read the book?
  3. Think back to the last five nonfiction books you read, can you honestly say it was necessary to read…
