Reading 30 Books in 30 Days
Introduction: Reading 30 Books in 30 Days
I can see you hyperventilating at the thought of reading 30 books in 30 days. The reading strategies I teach would help you complete such a challenge. But you’d have to change your definition of what it means to read a book. I’ve read 30 books in 30 days five or six times. And I’ve successfully led professionals to read 30 books in 30 days. They completed the challenge by reading strategically. That means they read the books to learn what they needed to know.
You read strategically when reading nonfiction. You’ll literally lose the plot if you try the strategy for fiction reading.
Why Read 30 Books in 30 Days?
Let’s say, for example, that you have to “master” a topic in 30 days for work. And I place the word master in quotes because it really takes years to master any topic. But you would like to learn more than just the fundamentals of the topic. Another example is you want to build a sound foundation for an in-demand skill. It’s important to read three to five of the best books on the topic. This challenge would help you.
With this example, I’m sure you can come up with some reasons of your own.
