You may wonder what I mean when I say taking your book notes to a higher level. Most times when you read a nonfiction book, you have questions you want answered and problems you want to solve. Therefore, you want to get the most out of your book notes to answer the questions and solve the problems.
Today, the focus is on content curation. You’ll learn how to use the ideas from content curation to make better sense of the notes you take while reading nonfiction books that matter to you.
Information Literacy Skills
- What’s your purpose in reading the books? Why do you need the information? Why did you note specific information?
- When will you use your book notes? Consider when you’ll use the information and will it still be fresh? Or will it be dated by then?
- How good is the information from the books? Test the validity of the information to determine if you should keep it.
3 Parts to Content Curation
- Finding of the information. You know the books that have the information you need to answer questions and solve problems. And for some people, you’ve read the books and have book notes.
